REIMAGINED LEADERSHIP EDUCATION

Today, the only constant in healthcare is change.  You are faced with competing demands, improved patient outcomes, and managing costs.  How can you develop your skills as you manage through change?  We invite you to invest in your professional and personal development by joining ASCENT - an exciting new model in physician leadership development beginning fall of 2018.  You will work in collaboration with a trusted group of peers and experts to expand your knowledge and skills so you - and your organization - can thrive in today's rapidly changing healthcare environment.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Through ASCENT, you will assess your own leadership skills and create your individual development path. Your peer group and other physician leaders will provide resources, training, and feedback so that you can effectively lead your organization to drive high value healthcare.

FOCUSED CURRICULUM

ASCENT will follow a course of leadership development through the year that explores the culture of change, the business of medicine, and personal leadership.  This dynamic, ongoing curriculum will develop the practical skills you need to succeed.  Relevant benchmarks will provide the foundation for ongoing improvement within your organization.  Expert faculty from within and outside of healthcare will provide resources to guide your growth.

PEER COLLABORATION

This reimagined leadership program combines the best in education with a proven peer-group structure. You will work throughout the year with a small group of your peers and a trained facilitator to explore performance in value-based care, risk adjustment, cultural transformation, population health, quality metrics, patient outcomes, data, and technology.  Together you will build your skills to lead into the future.

THE DETAILS....

ASCENT peer groups will be limited to the first 20 qualified applicants. This leadership experience has been developed by Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association, a physician-led not for profit organization, in consultation with leadership development experts and healthcare executives.
